Outdoor Equestrian was created to make the horse world more welcoming and accessible. Whether it's a child's very first visit to a barn or the beginning of a lifelong passion, we offer hands-on barn experiences that introduce horses in a fun, safe, and meaningful way while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors.
What you actually learn
Horse Skills
Practice leading, grooming, and safely working with horses while learning to understand their behavior.
Learn to Ride
Learn to mount safely, find your balance, and develop riding skills in a safe, supportive environment.
The Whole Farm
Learn to care for chickens and other animals, and experience what daily chores on a working farm look like.

For many people, horses are something they only see in books, movies, or from the car window. Outdoor Equestrian gives you the opportunity to step into a real barn, get your hands dirty, ask questions, learn responsibility, and experience the everyday moments that make life with horses so fun and rewarding.
Meet the horses
Dakota
Dakota is a gray Quarter Horse mare who loves being the center of attention. She's known for her silly, sweet nature, and love of watermelon. Full of personality, she keeps us laughing with her goofy antics and is always the first to say hello.
Copper
Copper, or Copper Whopper as we like to call him, is our gentle sorrel Quarter Horse gelding. He has a calm, kind heart and loves spending his days with Dakota by his side. Whether he's greeting visitors or flashing one of his famous smiles, Copper is sure to steal your heart.
We take care of our horses first
Our horses are family, and their well-being always comes first. To keep them happy, healthy, and excited to meet new friends, we limit the number of sessions each week, keep groups small, schedule experiences during the coolest parts of the day, and make sure they enjoy regular days off. If the weather isn't safe or one of our horses needs a little extra rest, we'll gladly help you reschedule or provide a full refund — whatever works best for your family.

Founding Rider — $40
A first-visit offer for guests who are new to Outdoor Equestrian. Try a 60-minute session and leave an honest review after your visit.
Limit one per guest.
A $20 deposit holds your spot and applies to your balance. If we can't confirm your session, it's refunded in full.
Homeschool groups and 4-H clubs — email us, weekday mornings are set aside for exactly this.
